First book your session with Desired Shots by clicking the Book Now button. Include the date and location you desire and how many are in your family! You will get an email response to confirm the open time slots for that location and book you. Then you will let her know which card design you like best. After you receive your edited images, you will pick which one(s) you want on your card design, your address you want printed on the envelopes, and how you would like your card signed. Allie Brown Design will design your cards, print them and the envelopes and will mail them all to you. All you have to do is fill in the addresses of your friends and family and stamp them! Easy does it!

If you already have a family photo you really want to use but love Allie Brown Designs cards OR if you do not mail out christmas cards but want a mini photoshoot this year, that’s no problem! You can do either one for $250. Contact us so we can take care of you!

It’s only 20 minutes which is a relief and increases the stress load right?!

1. Don’t put small children in their photo clothes until you arrive at the location! It’s pretty magical how things happen to ruin clothes right before!

2. Bribery! We’re not above it! Marshmallows are a great, mess free treat between shots. Or a prize or reward after the shoot is great too!

3. Arrive a couple minutes early! These shoots are booked back to back. You cut into your own time if you are late. It also causes chaos!

4. Try your best as a parent to be calm! Children feed off your energy! Another note along those lines is to not bring attention to someone’s insecurities (“I don’t like that smile! Take off your glasses!”) as it greatly affects a persons’ comfort level and confidence in front of my camera!

5. Consider the weather! Having coats or gloves nearby to wear between shots may be helpful. Wear appropriate shoes for the weather.

6. Have fun! Giggle! Tickle! Tell your people how much you love them during the shoot!

You can wear whatever you want of course! I like to pick mom’s outfit first in a family session. I think its important she feels her best! I love family outfits that have a palette that flows well together. Kind of like designing a room! Whites, beiges, and blues go well together. I also love bold black outfits as well. You can pick one outfit and go from there! You are welcome to dress formal or dress very casually. The feel of your images up to you! Consider not using too many bold prints or bright colors as they tend to be a bit abrasive in images. You can certainly scroll this website or pinterest to find samples of outfits you like. You showing up as YOU will give the best results!

Turn around time is about 3 weeks!

You will receive your edited images within a week after your photoshoot. Once you decide on your card design and the images for it, the cards will be designed/printed/mailed out to you around 2 weeks from that point.
